The PM made much of his friendship with Australian PM John Howard last week. No doubt he would also endorse Howard's comments in Dublin where he stated "most Australians do not want gay couples to have equivalent status". [note the use of "equivalent" - even less than "equal" status.]

While Australian human rights advocates claim their PM is out of touch with what Australians want, Howard speaks of "minority fundamentalism". Seems Howard and his good buddy, Harper, are in synch.
