now that thats over

How long has it been that the media have been preoccupied with World Cup Football/Soccer, with possible brief time-outs to broadcast petty tantrums from professional basketball players? How many are aware that the Tour de France 2010 is started over a week ago?

Well, now, back to the real program. Back to real athleticism. The Tour is not for athletes who think 90 minutes of competition, followed by 5-7 days of rest, demonstrates stamina. The Tour is not for athletes who lie down in the centre of the field and fake an injury when they need to rest or have just been bettered by their opponent. The Tour is for the world's greatest athletes, bar none.

While World Cup soccer may be the most watched competition, the Tour is unquestionably the world's greatest athletic event, and test. We have two more weeks to watch it in 2010. That's about as long as all the athletes in all the events in the summer Olympics compete.

All the info can be found at Tour 2010 . Full TV coverage continues daily on OLN, the Outdoor Life Network. Enjoy. Even if you don't understand the rules, the scenery is as fabulous as all those men in lycra on their flying machines.
