NDP leader Jack Layton has been bubbling over with hubris the last few days in anticipation of his wife's, Olivia Chow, election to the House of Commons. Her election was confirmed last evening.
How Jack will treat his wife in caucus was the subject of questions Global News anchor Kevin Newman put to Layton last week and Layton went on about how they always work as a team.
Well today, less than 24 hours after the election, Jack sent Olivia to be the party spokesperson Mike Duffy's CTV Newsnet program. One has to wonder how many long-term NDP MPs will react to such displays and how long before they start agitating for more air-time. Not all the NDP members are from Toronto and enamoured with the Jack and Olivia show!.
