Let’s see...I’m 56 years old and the Conservatives’ timeline for reducing greenhouse gas emissions is 2050. I’ll be 101 years old and, alas, probably contributing to those emissions as I decompose. Since I have neither descendants - nor even a pet, Peter - this announcement for me, as of most Canadians, in meaningless. Environmental progress, like a Conservative majority government in the foreseeable future becomes increasingly remote.
