Glendon alumnus to UN

Glendon College alumnus, John McNee, has been appointed Canadian ambassador to the United Nations, the Prime Minister’s Office announced today. It’s cause for celebration at a school founded by Escott Reid, one of the drafters of the UN Charter [Reid, Escott; RADICAL MANDARIN, University of Toronto Press 1989]. And the news makes me happier I trekked to campus to hear my Glendon contemporary and fellow history-major speak to students last November.
