this is a good time to invest..what's a million?

When the history of the 2008 federal election is written, Stephen Harper’s advice to Canadians, as their assets dwindled and unemployment and recession loomed, to use the opportunity to buy stocks will go down as one of the great faux pas of national politics. It will be right up there with C. D. Howe’s “what’s a million” quip in the 1956 pipeline debate [initially I wrote ‘billion“ showing how we have adjusted to inflation”] and John Turner’s “I had no choice”.

As CPC support is melting faster than the Arctic sea ice, Harper is really showing his colours and just how out-of-touch with Canadians he is. If only it wouldn't take yet another election to put him completely out of touch. Tory insurrection anyone?
